FROM WINTER TO SPRING

We are located between Inner Mongolia and the heart of the Gobi Desert.

These regions experience extreme temperatures, which can drop to -30°C every winter. To withstand the cold, the wild goats, also known as Capra hircus, produce amazingly warm and durable cashmere wool.

In spring, when the goats shed their precious cashmere coats, which have become too warm for the time of year, our partner breeders can begin the harvest.

FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO THE VILLAGE

The herd returns to the Mongolian village and our breeders, supported by their families, take care of the goats and collect their precious cashmere.

One by one, the goats are carefully and respectfully combed. This is a sacred moment for the passionate Mongolian producers. This step marks the end of a harsh winter for them.

FROM HAIR TO THREAD

After harvesting, the cashmere wool is washed and untangled to align all the fibers in the same direction.

The cashmere is then passed through a series of increasingly finer combs. This stage is a crucial step in the cashmere production process, where the fibers are sorted into grades A to C.

Only the finest fibers, matching the longest and most delicate hair, are selected. This requirement allows us to create scarves of superior quality – a guarantee of softness and warmth in every season.

Then, a blend of plant-based silk is added to the cashmere to twist the fibers together and create a continuous and durable thread. This thread is then used to weave your soft scarf.

FROM THE SPOOL TO YOUR SCARF

One last step remains before your Doux Cachemire scarf comes to life: dyeing the yarn spools. Here you won't find any dull colors, but rather vibrant and natural pigments to refresh our seasons.

Your scarf is then woven and embroidered with a discreet Doux Cachemire label...

FROM MONGOLIA TO FRANCE

It's the middle of summer and your scarf is finally finished. Now it's time for it to go to France for a final quality check at our facilities.

Gentle and warm, it will be perfect to accompany you through all seasons.
